After all these years of blogging, the one thing I do get is plenty of books and new Patriots materials sent my way. I know it can be hard to sift through everything Patriots that is out there so here are some of my favorite picks for that special someone or your own wish list.
Of course, you can always help on the blog by simply clicking through my Amazon link here before you make a purchase or pick something up at the Prop Shop. Thanks, and you can’t go wrong with any of the books or videos below.
This was an exciting look behind the scenes at the Patriots machine from Mike Lombardi. Great stuff that shows what a typical week is like under Belichick. I did a full review here.
An all-time favorite, this is a must-read for anyone who wants to learn what makes Bill Belichick tick from a wonderful writer.
Another great new addition this year, John Powers compiled and sorted all of Bill Belichick’s most interesting Friday press conference nuggets. A great stand alone because it’s solely in Belichick’s own words. Tons of great stuff about football and especially football history.
Always love these videos that recount the Patriots Super Bowl seasons in an hour program. Great compliment to the America’s Game episode as well as the popular Three Games to Glory series.
Yes, the covers often look a lot alike.
Nothing can beat the behind the scenes of the Three Games to Glory series. I own all five of them and they will make any Patriots superfan very happy. The original is near-impossible to find without paying a fortune for now.
Chris Price does a great job breaking down the crazy 2016 season, which will be hard to ever top for drama in a season. I’d love to see the Pats win another Super Bowl but if 51 is the last one they get with Belichick/Brady, it was a fitting climax.
As far as the fan perspective goes you can’t beat Jerry Thornton’s two books that tell the story of the Patriots all the way back from the beginning. These are all about what it was like to be there and to actually have enjoyed it (at least the last 20 years of it).
Few have had a more up close and in-depth look at the recent Patriots run of success than Zolak and Jeff Howe. You get some 90’s from Zolak, a reminder of the tide turning under Bill Parcells, while Howe has covered the team for over a decade and is one of the best Patriots follows out there. Tons of great stuff in here.
