One of the seven moments I actually thought Gary Guyton wasn’t so much of a liability.

Now here’s an overly positive look at Ron Brace in 2010. I agree that Brace flashed a number of times in 2010, most notably on the fourth down goaline stop of Adrian Peterson.
An optimistic projection is that he could spell Shaun Ellis at left defensive end in the 4-3, that seems like his best fit in the front the Patriots are running now.
I’m sure the Pats would love to develop him into the starter there once Ellis is gone. He does look like he can be a strong run defender. The question of course remaining if he’ll be able to generate pass rush when opposing offenses pass on early downs.
He has good strength and has the ability to both anchor and push lineman in the backfield. The biggest thing is just staying healthy, if he does that we could see some positive things for Brace.

Bye week Sunday, a time to sit back and watch some stress-free football. Especially since no matter who wins or loses this week the Pats will still be in first place in the AFC East. But of course our thoughts are slowly turning to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team that took our place at the Super Bowl last year.
