Where Did Dion Lewis Come From?
Great read on the Dion Lewis origin story! Including this quote… wow…
“Barry Sanders was the quickest I ever saw in terms of making a guy miss in a hole,” Wannstedt said. “Dion isn’t Barry Sanders, but he had some of that same make-a-guy-miss-in-a hole quickness. Plus he had 4.5 speed to outrun you. He could catch. He did things you can’t coach.”
Yeah it’s certainly has to be a concern, but I do what matters most is a healthy front seven and if we have to roll with Butler/Ryan/Coleman for a bit so be it. My only memory of Melvin was him with a giant target on his back for the AFCDG last year, but he’s still a young player and has good size so I am curious to see if he can develop a bit.
Now it’s a parade of “will the Patriots trade for player X” on Twitter. I have no idea who they could possibly trade for. There has yet to ever be a trade made in-season where anyone says they saw it coming so it’s seems pointless to speculate. But as we’ve seen in recent years, notable starting with Aqib Talib, the Pats are not afraid to add guys via trade if they think they need them.
But let’s be realistic, who are the daunting passing offenses we’re going to face prior to a potential Super Bowl matchup? Last year was littered with them through the regular season, but this year I think it’s far more manageable to think we can get the #1 AFC seed with a great front seven.
Tom Brady The Dark Knight is 100% pure #Patriots pump-up porn at it’s best. As if we couldn’t wait for #NEvsIND
For the first time in a long time I allowed myself to relive every last bit of Deflategate and wow my blood is boiling once again. Sunday night can’t come fast enough.

It’s Friday and the floor is open Pats Pals! What’s on your mind? Unfortunate injury news strikes again as Ian Rapoport say Tarrell Brown could have a significant problem with the foot he broke last season and is seeking a medical opinion. Brown’s been the solid #2 thus far, this would require a move via trade.
Always enjoy these reads and a lot of the same points I make in my own gameplan, coming up in an hour…
Patriots’ offensive success fueled by deft play, clever schemes
Very fun read if you like how dominant the Patriots offense has been through the first four games. Dallas got the first part of the test right against them, but didn’t have enough of a second-half change-up to put the Pats back on their toes. Brady will figure out what you’re doing, you’ve got to have a third quarter gameplan that is unique. But I still think the primary principals are press man coverage while only rushing three (but consistently disguising which three). Take away the quick passing game, even if it means giving Brady more time in the pocket.
The Patriots wrapped up their mandatory minicamp on Thursday and now we embark on the six-week football void until training camp opens up. After winning the Super Bowl for the third time in five years, this Patriots team still has much of their core still intact, but time is not on their side. That puts […]
