how do you feel about only 3 of the 11 receivers being on the roster last year? four of whom are rookies. And do you think the addition of Dobson will set us up for some of those good ol’ Moss like streak TD’s we all miss?

I’m trying to keep my expectations for Dobson in check, definitely a tall order to expect him to break any records as a rookie.

Overall, it’s exciting and a little scary with the total wide receiver turnover. Unfortunately the Pats made this bed with their misses in free agency and the draft since 2007, and now they have to choice but to lie in it. 

Of course, if successful, they’ll really be set offensively for the next five seasons at least, with top young weapons at all positions. But everyone needs to realize it might not be the smoothest process, especially at the start of the year. They might sputter a bit.

But the hope is that they’ll work the kinks out in September and October, get Gronk back, and then be firing on all cylinders come November/December.
