Dont’a Hightower was the Pats’ best defensive player with a fumble recovery, three quarterback hits, four pressures and two run stuffs for no gain. He is the first Patriot this season to be in on 10 plays in pressure and run-stuff stats. Hightower also levied a huge hit on Eric Decker when he caught a 23-yard pass with 5:39 remaining in the third quarter. Decker didn’t catch another pass until the final pass of the game, so that hit might have taken its toll.

Every year I take a trip back home to Boston to see my family and catch a Pats game. This year I decided I would document the trip in a quick video since there always such a quick whirlwind of craziness and this one lived up to the billing.

Would like to thank NRG for providing sets of tickets not only for me, but for the two “Frenemy” giveaways I did, along with the swag bags that we handed out at the tailgates before the game. Met so many awesome people in such a short time, and that includes Patriots fans AND Jets fans.

The important takeaway from [Patriots v. Jets] is when a team gets one yard rushing from its running backs and you basically tell the other team we’re making ourselves one dimensional, so try and stop this. And Tom [Brady] goes to work like that, that’s something we may never see again. I mean we are seeing something right now, we’re witnessing maybe the best head coach-quarterback tandems of all time that may never be matched, and we take it for granted now, and we’re like ‘ah, that’s just Belichick and Brady’, but that’s something so special to watch him do what he did yesterday and the way he truly manipulates defenses. I mean, I saw one play where he is truly looking right at Revis and just pumps him a little bit, so he can just get him to move for a second, so he can hit a fade ball behind him. Quarterbacks don’t do that. He’s so dialed in. It’s just so fun to watch.
