Nice review of two of the rookie running backs by Doug Kyed. Was putting together my training camp preview yesterday writing about these guys and I really think running back could be one of the more surprising positional battles of the summer. These two guys could play a large role this season.
Kyle Arrington embraces competition in Patriots secondary | Sports – Patriots | providencejournal.com | The Providence Journa
Great read on the oft-maligned Arrington. He could really shine with the best outside corners next to him that he’s ever had. He just might be the best slot corner in the NFL this season.

The Bill Belichick All-22 breakdowns from 2013 – Field Gulls
Thanks to @PatriotsSB49 for the find. These are always must-post in-season, but here Field Gulls (a Seahawks blog) put all of them in one place. Doesn’t get any better than this!

Good stuff as always from Steve Balestrieri. Running back is one of the more intriguing positions in training camp. I think there could be some surprises there, especially if injuries/fumbles strike.
Beyond the Numbers: The Rise of Patriots Safety Devin McCourty | NEPatriotsDraft.com – 2014 NFL Draft
Great read from Oliver Thomas on Devin McCourty. With better cornerback play, McCourty might really cement his place as a top-5 safety in the NFL this season. Hopefully the Pats can lock him up to an extension before that happens, because the price tag will only be heading up.
