News coming out this evening that the Patriots have released Isaiah Ford who they acquired via a trade with Miami at the deadline.
Ford won’t be remembered for his time in New England after failing to record a single snap in a Patriots uniform. Bill gave up a conditional seventh-rounder for his services, but, clearly, he hasn’t progressed as intended.
We may see Ford re-signed to the practice squad, some Dolphins fans took to Twitter expressing their desire to have him back in Florida, but for now, his time in New England is over.
The receiving group is a shell of its former self in years gone by, in all honesty, I’m looking forward to seeing what free agency brings for the position.

Donte Moncrief’s recent performances as part of the practice squad elevation system have earned him a place on the roster in Ford’s place. Akeem Spence was also signed to the main roster.
