Here are your Tweets Of Note from Day 14 of the Patriots Training Camp!
Some new absences today, most notably, Hunter Henry. Zack Cox also notes that Isaiah Wynn missed his fourth-straight practice, although Bill Belichick described his condition as “day to day” yesterday.
Nice moment for Myles Bryant who has had a good camp thus far. With Joejuan Williams and Malcolm Butler being done for the season, opportunities are up for grabs, giving Bryant some extra motivation ahead of the regular season.
Nelson Agholor is another who’s had a solid camp, which was probably needed by him with questions about his future on the roster doing the rounds. The team seems like they want the offense to push the ball downfield more in the passing game from what’s been seen at practice, Agholor surely should think he’s the man to be that threat for the team.
After making it fairly unscathed through the first few weeks of camp, the Pats are slowly building a list of injuries. This is one to watch, let’s hope it’s not serious.
Well, they were at it again. I can imagine both Bill and Matt Rhule were furious with this major disruption to practice again.
It seemed to stem from a Panthers player taunting an injured Kristian Wilkerson (who had to be carted off after this incident). Mike Reiss makes an interesting point that he can’t recall a time when a joint practice got so out of hand under Bill’s tenure previously.
Jalen Mills has been one of the best players for the Patriots this week, and I’ll happily say that I am pleasantly surprised.
I didn’t rate Mills at all after what I saw last season, but he’s been playing really well of late and looks to play a key role at corner for the team this year.
Evan Lazar notes that Carolina probably edged some drills today, but it’s good to hear the passing game managed to get some things going. A positive note for the defense also.
