Join me and Frenz as we talk with AFC Championship game savior Sterling Moore today, or download it off Itunes immediately afterwards. It was a whirlwind rookie season for Moore. Here’s a quick recap of his comings and goings:
- 9/26: released by Oakland
- 10/5: signed to Pats practice squad
- 10/15: promoted to Pats 53-man roster
- 10/17: released by Patriots
- 10/19: signed to Pats practice squad
- 11/9: promoted to Pats 53-man roster
- Plays four games for Pats, three at free safety.
- 12/10: released by Patriots
- 12/14: signed to Pats practice squad
- 12/23: promoted to Pats 53-man roster
- Plays significant snaps at LCB in season finale (2 interceptions, including one for a touchdown) and all three playoff games.
So for those playing at home Moore was released three times this season at different points. What a journey for a guy who then made the play that saved the Patriots season and sent them to the Super Bowl.
Looking forward to hearing how Moore stayed focused through the ups and downs of the season, and what he’s doing this off-season to prepare for 2012.
