It Is What It Is » Who’s Next: Ten looming contractual questions for Patriots
Nice round-up here from Chris Price, and it already looks like the Pats will have some tough choices. Talib has been stellar so far and it’s frustrating to imagine the Pats lowballing him and letting him walk just as the defense looks like they’re coming around.
He’ll test the market regardless so there’s nothing the Pats can really do but wait and see how his entire body of work this season shapes up. But right now it’s easy to make the argument that he’s a necessary piece of the puzzle.
Great read on an intriguing matchup this weekend.
Since 2006, Jackson has played five combined regular season and postseason games against the Patriots, and has logged 27 receptions for 495 yards and three touchdowns. His 18.3 yards per reception is the second-highest for any receiver with over 10 receptions against them.
Nice read from Chris Price, who will be a colleague at B/R this season.

So far, on his one-year deal, Talib is proving it. Gonna be expensive next offseason…
Talib was tabbed as one of the Pats’ 10 offseason workout award winners, which comes with the famous front-row parking spot. Even though it was the first offseason award Talib has ever received, he began to develop a reputation as a leader last summer with the Buccaneers. His Pats teammates will back him up on that, too, as they haven’t seen any signs of the negative reputation Talib garnered in his first couple of seasons in the league.
