Thanks for the memories and lack of fumbles, Law Firm! Such a consummate Patriot. Came in as an undrafted rookie, worked his way slowly up the depth chart before breaking out in 2010 with a 1,000-yard rushing season.
He was never flashy but he got the job done by always getting positive yardage and never fumbling. His reliability will be missed.
Luckily the Pats have two high round picks from 2011 in Ridley and Vereen ready to hopefully step in. Don’t rule out the addition of a veteran running back or another rookie in April.

This weeks choice for The Bottom Line Player of the Week is an easy one. Benjarvus Green-Ellis is the ideal Patriots running back. He doesn’t fumble. He always gets positive yards. And he’s a punishing physical runner that does whatever is asked of him.
It’s been a long road for Benny to get to where he is now. As recently as early 2010 no one was sure if he was even going to stick on the Pats roster. But now he’s one of their most consistent and trusted weapons who just had a career day.
In a strange way this win allows me to love 45-3 again.
