The first-team offense failed to get a first down in six of nine possessions. He didn’t particularly like that.
“We didn’t do anything offensively except lose yardage and turn the ball over,” Belichick said. “It was tough to watch anything offensively.”
The first-team defense allowed 16 points through about three quarters. Credit the Bucs for drilling three field goals of at least 50 yards. And after the first series, the defense was better. But Belichick didn’t like the fact that they weren’t making any big plays.
“Didn’t make any game-changing plays,” Belichick said. “No turnovers, didn’t put them in long yardage very often. They did what they wanted to do, scored 30 points.”
