New England Patriots running backs: What’s the balance between Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount?
Great read getting to the heart of what has been so amazing about Dion Lewis these first two games. Blount’s time will come, but Lewis has been electric and one of the most out-of-nowhere players in the Pats’ run.

Really good read on this year’s out of nowhere guy Dion Lewis. Lot of talk about Blount being back this week and it’s good to have him but I think we’ve seen at times Blount struggle to get going. And what cannot happen against the Bills are runs for no gain or a loss on first down. That’s why I think Lewis should still see significant action. He’s so quick it will be hard to get him behind the line of scrimmage unless the line is totally out to lunch. I still think at some point Travaris Cadet gets unleashed in a WR/RB hybrid role that will cause some matchup problems to help free Gronk up even more. That could be this weekend too.

As always, a must-read for Sunday mornings and this one has a ton of great stuff on Dion Lewis, someone Reiss has been all over since the spring. Lewis blew me away with his quickness but also by just having the look of a veteran, picking up extra yards, keeping the ball secure and just stepping right in and looking like he fit.
One player I thought really looked ready to take the next step is CB Darius Butler. Mike Reiss (6/17 Chat)
