The real impact of this will be felt in the punt return game where Edelman’s explosiveness is irreplaceable. Now the Patriots will be forced to use Wes Welker more in that role and he’s already dinged up as it is. Perhaps they’ll see if Donte Stallworth has anything to offer in that area.
Not a crippling blow but definitely a significant loss that will have to be overcome, with no clear depth for replacement.

Love this stuff, also interesting to note Edelman present and accounted for and laughing throughout the video. Not that it means anything but he certainly doesn’t seem like that hit made him a vegetable or anything. Hopefully it was just a minor concussion.
68-yard punt return for a touchdown, 5 catches for 58 yards and 1 TD, and 47 yards rushing. Not a bad outing.
