If you’re a true Patriots fan it’s weeks like these that you spend your whole year waiting for. We’re all beyond the point of Jets Fatigue and most of us are probably at the Jets exhaustion point, but after the most over-hyped year in Jets history the Patriots have the chance to send their “Super Bowl or Bust” season into the bust category. You really shouldn’t want it any other way.
But let’s just take one moment to appreciate what the Patriots did this season. Regardless of what happens Sunday the Pats have again proven that they are the class of the NFL, and will continue to be, regardless of who comes or goes, until BB and TFB are gone.
So right now… deep breath… The Patriots are awesome. Feel good about it. And exhale…
Okay now with that out of the way, let’s all mentally prepare ourselves for some things that very well could unfold on Sunday.
First, expect a close game. Expect the Jets to score a touchdown. They might even have a lead at some point. We know that in the playoffs every play is crucial, but also remember that our team will fight for a full sixty minutes. So no matter what happens, don’t panic, don’t throw anything at your TV. Expect heart palpitations. Embrace them. That’s what playoffs are all about.
We’d all love to see another blow out. But that’s pretty unlikely.
So I’m just saying, be prepared for a back and forth game. I find it helps to mentally and emotionally prepare for this a couple days prior.
