Jules has a lot of fans behind him, I hope to see him really start executing the trickeration they tried with him last year. He had a couple tough plays. Another punt return TD called back. He could be ready to bust out as an even more dangerous weapon for this offense.

Patrick Chung Highlights
The quality of this video early on isn’t too great but it gets better, as do the highlights. Going into 2010 no one knew for sure what we’d get out of Chung. I was predicting big things for him, and had it not been for a injury against the Chargers, he would’ve exceeded what even I predicted for him.
I truly hope that the fans and Chung himself are able to forget the little botched fake punt in the playoffs, which was undoubtedly devastating. But I applaud the balls that Chung demonstrated in making the call. But if you make the call you gotta make the play, and he didn’t. But we’re moving on and I think he’ll be even better in 2011 in a variety of roles at all levels of the defense.

Let’s keep the Patchung! train rolling! Pick six, ya’ll.

SS Patrick Chung — Chung proved he was a special-teams playmaker in 2010, and the third-year pro could be primed for a big season in the Patriots’ defensive backfield in ‘11. He started 13 games last season and had three picks, including an interception returned for a score. Chung might be ready to take his play to the next level, assuming he can improve in coverage. The Patriots need to improve upon last year’s 30th ranking in pass defense, and a breakthrough campaign by Chung could help make that happen. He is generally better in the box and has been used on blitzes, but Chung could take the athleticism he has displayed near the line of scrimmage and on special teams to the passing defense as well. Chung’s days of being overlooked by his Pro Bowl safety mate Brandon Meriweather could be over. Someone on New England’s defense needs to take the next step to get New England back to the Super Bowl, and it could be Chung’s turn.
