When you walk onto this field and it’s lined, and you see the end zones and the numbers, you feel it,” Bruschi said. “You still feel it, like the way you felt walking onto it for game day, just for those first couple steps. There are a lot of times during games where Seymour had that type of emotion. That’s what made him so successful. I remember talking to him in the huddle at times trying to calm him down. Not in a confrontational way, because that would have been dangerous, but looking him in the eye and asking him if we were going to be OK. You tried to bring that emotional level down, but make no mistake, that emotion is what makes Richard one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the game.

Good stuff as always here from Tedy and it makes you feel a little better. Unfortunately the only thing that will truly makes us all okay is not only beating the Raiders but stifling their offense.
The Patriots do have the talent on defense, but I’m going to give you two areas to focus on. Offenses will move the ball, that’s a league-wide issue, so focus on the red area and winning the turnover battle. If the Patriots are in the top half of the league in those two categories, this defense will be just fine.
