Good stuff here and I agree with all, especially the pass rush problems. Getting pressure with your front seven will make any secondary look better than they are.

Updating Patriots’ Key Position Battles Halfway Through Training Camp
Here’s our Monday B/R piece, updating where we’re at with some of the bigger position battles. All still very fluid, but here are guys that are rising to the occasion first.
Tweets of Note from Wednesday’s Patriots-Eagles Practice
Another exciting day of joint practices. I don’t know about you guys but I am fired up to watch some Patriots football in a couple days and finally see some of these new guys who have really been standing out.
Aaron Dobson play of the day. Readjusted, changing the shoulder he was looking over on deep ball… twice… Before making catch. Wow play.

In 2-minute, Boyce catches three straight passes from Brady on three different routes.

Not comparing A. Dobson to R. Moss, but haven’t seen this size on outside 4 Pats, & ability to win competitive-catch situations, since Moss.

no one is having more fun than Aqib Talib today…he is talking so much noise w Brady & co picking Eagles apart w hurry up offense

After error on long ball on Tuesday, second-year safety Tavon Wilson looks like he is losing reps to rookie Duron Harmon today.

Don’t think Tavon has had the camp anyone was hoping for. Could be a dark horse to not make the cut, especially with Duron Harmon getting a long look at safety next to McCourty.
One of the areas where the Patriots struggled last season was with their safeties gaining depth and width in Cover 2, something that eventually improved when Devin McCourty was shifted to free safety. Second-year safety Tavon Wilson has had some struggles during training camp thus far, and it appeared as though he fell victim to a deep pass in Cover 2 on Tuesday. The completion down the right side of the field came behind both him and rookie cornerback Logan Ryan. Not knowing the coverage, it’s tough to say with certainty where the breakdown occurred, but it looked like Cover 2 from afar.

Same guys keep stepping up, and these three could be huge difference makers when it comes to last year’s problems.
THREE UP
TE Zach Sudfeld: Running exclusively with the first unit at this point, he is catching everything thrown his way and looks potentially like the best tight end on the field.
WR Kenbrell Thompkins: Had the Philadelphia media saying, “Who is this guy again?” after making catch after catch after catch in team drills.
LB Jamie Collins: Got a lot of work with the first unit, especially in nickel and dime situations. At one point, he was lined up across from Cooper.

Good list of guys to watch on Friday night. Would also throw the safety play in there as well.
Tuesday Patriots-Eagles Practice Tweets of Note
Lots of great stuff today, since when certain Patriots do good things it’s not at the expense of other Patriots.
Chung just got de-pantsed by Amendola. Like 3 times in the same route. Then Dobson made a one-handed snag. #MVP #PatriotsTalk

Boyce and Amendola looked great in one-on-ones vs. Eagles DBs
— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) August 6, 2013
Brady just completed 20-of-20 in first 1-on-1s vs Eagles CBs. Dobson made a filthy one-handed turnaround catch. Boyce 2 difficult grabs.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) August 6, 2013
Brady is putting on an absolute clinic during one-on-one drills. Touch, timing, and anticipation aspects are amazing.
