Yeah, this will be the big debate as soon as the season ends until free agency starts. I expect both of them to test the market, but I’d think teams might be a little spooked by Edelman being raised by New England, not many of those players have gone on to duplicate their success elsewhere.
Teams that would be interested in Talib might want to make sure they have a good locker room in place. In a football-first environment like the Patriots, he’s done well. Somewhere else, where there are a lot of sideshows might make for a different Talib.
But if you have to choose one, I think the answer is pretty easy. How hard is it to find a slot receiver, especially when the Pats are already paying Danny Amendola a pretty good chunk of change?
And then, how hard is it to find a #1 corner?
I’d love to keep both but I think Talib has to be the priority if push comes to shove.
